Midaxo's Auto schedule functionality allows you to shift the data range of entire Task lists based on the Task Hierarchy. It also allows you to move Task date ranges based on Task Dependencies.
To use the Auto-Scheduler:
- Navigate to the Gantt view.
- Toggle on "Auto Schedule".
- Once Auto Schedule is toggled on, the Date ranges of Parent Tasks will expand to encompass the Dates of the subtasks.
- The image below shows the Date Range for the "1. Taxes" parent Task BEFORE Auto Schedule is turned on. Note that Date range for "1. Taxes" does not encompass the subtasks 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3.
- Once Auto Schedule is turned ON, note the "1. Taxes" parent Task Date range has automatically expanded to encompass the Dates of it's subtasks.
- Once Auto Schedule is turned ON you can also move subtasks out in bulk by moving the parent Task Date range on the Gantt chart. Click and drag the parent Task Date range bar to move subtasks out.
- Auto Schedule will also move Dates based on Task Dependencies. Watch the video below to see an example of how Auto Scheduler works within a Task's hierarchy and through Task Dependencies.
