Visible Permission settings are changing.
---
Visible Permission: result of granting a user Read-Only (or higher) permission to a subtask, where they have No Access to the parent task.
CURRENT STATE:
On certain projects, a project member (Brittany R) is assigned to a subtask ('Contacting a Target') under a parent task ('DETAILED ANALYSIS').
A Project Administrator can adjust task permission settings - so that Brittany R is unable to see any other subtasks under that parent ('DETAILED ANALYSIS').
However, she can still see the parent task ('DETAILED ANALYSIS').
In the Permissions page, a 'Half Moon' icon is automatically set on the parent task ('DETAILED ANALYSIS'). This is defined as 'Visible Permission'.
'Visible' definition available on the Permissions page below:
NEW EXPERIENCE (with upcoming release):
A project member (Brittany R) is assigned to a subtask ('Contacting a Target') under a parent task ('DETAILED ANALYSIS'):
A Project Administrator can adjust task permission settings - so that Brittany R is unable to see any other subtasks under that parent ('DETAILED ANALYSIS').
However, she can still see the parent task ('DETAILED ANALYSIS').
In the Permissions page, instead of a 'Half-Moon' / 'Visible' icon, the parent task will now show a 'Read-Only' icon.
'Read-Only' definition available on the Permissions page below:
What is the difference?
When a user is granted 'Read-Only' (or higher) permissions to a subtask ('Contacting a Target'), it will automatically receive 'Read-Only' to the parent task ('DETAILED ANALYSIS'), NOT 'Visible'.
Users with permissions to a subtask CAN NOW SEE all data hosted at the parent task level ('DETAILED ANALYSIS').
